Visit of the Prefect to Strandza
Thursday 15 April 2010
STRANTZA WAS VISITED BY THE PREFACE AFTER THE INVITATION OF G. FOUNTOULIS
COMMITTED TO TWO ROAD PROJECTS
The settlement of Strantza was visited on Monday, April 12, by the Prefect, Mr. Costas Karapanagiotidis, who responded to the invitation of the president & municipal councilor of Naoussa, Mr. Giorgos Fountoulis, for an inspection of two road axes that need asphalting.
Specifically, this is the rural road that serves the areas of Giannakochori-Strantza-Lefkadia-Marina, in the Ramnista area.
This project requires the replacement of a 2 km long asphalt pavement, as well as the road connecting Lefkadia-Naoussa via Strandza in the Roudina area, 1.6 km long.
Mr. Fountoulis explained to the Prefect the utmost importance of asphalting the roads, as they serve approximately 6,000 acres in the transportation of agricultural products. He also emphasized that with easy access to the central road, the entire wider area is upgraded, and the proper connection with the Municipality of Anthemia is ensured, within whose boundaries the roads in question are located.
The response of the prefect, Mr. Karapanagiotidis, was immediate and positive. He personally committed to Mr. Fountoulis, sending the Director of Technical Services, Mr. Papadopoulos Michalis, the next day for a cost estimate of the two projects.
